About Us

charity organization

Geebamu International, Inc. is a non-profit organization established for the purpose of assisting the health care delivery system in Liberia. We also provide different levels of support for women and children in Liberia.

Geebamu International, Inc. is organized exclusively for charitable, religious, educational, and scientific purposes, including, for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or corresponding section of any future federal tax code. The focus of Geebamu International, Inc. is to strengthen hospital, clinics and other health centers in Liberia by providing critically needed medical supplies and services.

Our Team at Work
Geebamu International, Inc. was founded on April 4, 2010, by Josephine D. Sekajipo. Throughout the Liberia civil war, children, mothers, and babies died because of the unavailability of medical supplies. In 2010, when Josephine traveled to Liberia, she witnessed about five people dying due to the lack of IV-Sodium chloride, IV catheter, insulin, pain medications, and other medical supplies.

When she returned to the United States, she realized that hospitals in the United States dispose of equipment and medical supplies that would be useful in Liberia. Josephine then decided to form “Geebamu” (meaning – “Come let’s go”) with the primary purpose of soliciting for medical equipment and supplies in the United States to help the Health Care System in Liberia. Since its formation, Geebamu International, Inc. has solicited and donated medical equipment, worth over two hundred thousand US Dollars.

As we endeavor to help alleviate the dire health needs in Liberia, we kindly ask that you support the cause. Geebamu International, Inc. has also been supporting the Liberian community with educational resources and currently runs a “Feed-The-Children” program for over one hundred kids during every last Saturday of the month.
